iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS, 3G on iOS 4 / 4.0.1, iPod touch on iOS 4, and iPad on iOS 3.2.1 owners, the long-awaited jailbreak for these compatible devices is now available and out and it’s called JailbreakMe 2. Those of you who’ve been jailbreaking their iPhones and iPod Touch for a while will certainly remember JailbreakMe, which is the easiest jailbreak ever.
Just simply go to JailbreakMe.com from your iPhone and iPod Touch and follow the instructions. Oh, by the way, Jailbreaking is legal as declared last Monday.
Comex has done a great job by reviving JailbreakMe and bringing back the browser-based jailbreak to the iPhone and iPod.
JailbreakMe will work for every iPod Touch, iPhone and iPad starting at iOS 3.1.2. That means that if your iDevice is at 3.1.2 or newer, then you’re good.
I have to yet to try our iPod Touch iOS 4 for this. I will report more about this if this is good and successful, hoping.
In the meanwhile, please share your experience downloading and installing JailbreakMe on your iPhone and iPod Touch.
UPDATE 2: JailbreakMe 2 was successfully installed in our iPod Touch 3G on iOS 4.0. Worked perfectly so far. Cydia App installed. Everything seems to works. It took around 6 minutes to finished installing.
